Offered in a set of three coaches with a VSE.

Compared to the former references released in 2009, there are a number of improvements, although the overall aspect is unchanged.

The heating jumper housing is now of correct height. There is no longer a recess of the roof at the ends. The access doors have a slightly lower height. The mounting handrails are mounted.

Modifications

Lighting strip using flexible COB LED strips to illuminate all the lights in the room. Control by latching reed switch.

History

Coaches built from 1975 by the companies Franco-Belge, Alsthom and Francorail-MTE. First introduction of air conditioning in 2nd class in France.

The VTU 75 program, covering 1300 coaches, is as follows:

  • 190 1st class coaches A10tu with 58 seats;
  • 205 1st class coaches A10rtu with 58 seats, with kitchen area;
  • 190 2nd class coaches B10tu with 80 seats;
  • 518 2nd class coaches B11tu with 88 seats (closer seat pitch) ;
  • 167 2nd class coaches B11rtu with 88 seats, with kitchen area;
  • 30 “Corail Bar” coaches B5rtux with 40 2nd class seats.

35 B10tu coaches on international service of the Nord are painted in C1 livery to harmonize with Belgian VSE coaches.

The Corail VTU programs will extend from 1978 to 1984, for a total of 2335 coaches produced. Some are still in use today (2019).
