162 and 162 g (NEM: 115 to 150 g); 121 g after removing the ballast.
HJ4081 (2013)
The wheels, very bright, have a diameter of 10.25 mm, for 10.6 to scale. They are all isolated from the axis. The axle length is 24.3 mm.
The coach is too high by at least 0.5 mm. Beware of the bosses on the bogies, under the drawbars, which serve to limit the rotation of the bogies, and which could lean against the chassis.
An accessory bag containing four buffers, four steps, nine vents is supplied!
It’s still expensive compared to LS Models and even to Roco.
HJ4101-1 (2019)
The wheels, still very bright, have a diameter of 10.5 mm, and a distance between tips of 25.0 mm. Only one is isolated from the axis. 1.05 mm flanges.
This time, the coach has a correct height. As for the other DEV HJ issued in 2019, the interior fittings have been improved with inserted seats. Under the chassis and under the bogies, there are inserted brake accessories and a dynamo. The rest is unchanged, including the length of the drawbars.
Finally, and it is quite exceptional to be noticed, the price has dropped significantly (- 27%) since the batch of five years ago.

HJ4081
HJ4101-1
These are two of the 79 U56 to U58 coaches No. 51 87 19-87 005 to 083 put into service from 1957. The Jouef models were in the Ouest Region in 1970 (source Le Train, Les archives de la DEV, p 83). The original bogies are Y20H, often later replaced with Y24Z, which is the case of the second coach.
Note: the Paris-Lille “telephone” fast trains were composed of four types of coaches (plus a luggage van). Typical composition: three or four A9j, one A5rtj (bar + telephone), one A9tj, one A6rtj (dining car), one A9tj, and one Dd4s luggage van.

No surprise, it’s similar to the brand’s DEV AO, but here the door panes are flush. The interior, unpainted, is uniformly cream-white. Spring buffers, which therefore easily get crooked. There is a gap of 2 mm between the bellows with another DEV HJ. The drawbars should therefore be moved back 1 mm.
