Coach improvement (3)

Piko DB ARmh216 dining-car

This coach is relatively simplified, as are all the older Piko models, but its interior fittings really stand out like a sore thumb.

REE B4D Sud-Est modernized coach

This coach looks very good, but there is a problem with the power pick-up from the bogies. Furthermore, it’s not possible to switch off the tail lights in a simple way. Let’s correct this and install a lighting strip.

Hornby-Jouef TEE Mistral 69 coaches

These coaches have a better overall appearance than the LS Models, especially the width of the TEE band. However, they suffer many approximations.

REE UIC coaches

The overall appearance is good. The only major flaw is the junction between the body and the roof, although it is less obvious than on previous DEV coaches.

LS Models NMBS I4 coaches

The first impression is very good, with one drawback: LS Models has once again seen fit to depict welding seams (on the roof) where they are almost invisible in reality.

LS Models NMBS I4 coaches

These coaches seem to lend themselves easily to the installation of lighting, as certain design details — for once — point in that direction.
