Comments

Bogies correct. Floor not detailed (no wood grain, no rivets). The tie rods are inserted, but the struts are much too thick. The brake equipment is moulded with the chassis. The hauling diabolos are represented only halfway.

Floor dimensions: 125 × 28.8, thickness 3 mm.

The overall dimensions are closer to 1:86, even 1:85, than 1:87. My Fleischmanns of the 60s were all oversized. A leopard cannot change its spots…

Modifications

Buffers, wheels, and brake blocks painted.

History

Quotation from Loco-Revue: These wagons were introduced in France by the US Army in 1917/18 (Pershing and Felton equipment), then were taken over, after the end of hostilities, by the Ministry of Public Works (TP) , before being distributed in 1920/21 between the large railways companies (except Alsace-Lorraine), and incorporated in their respective fleet.
