Roco 64497
1st / 2nd class AB4ümg (type 223) coach of the West Germany Railways (Deutsche Bundesbahn) in green livery.
Number | Revision date |
15158 Hmb | 10.8.62 |
160 g (NEM: 121 to 158 g)
1st / 2nd class coach of the DB. Era III. Neat manufacturing. Seats inserted. Light pipes going from under the roof to the lamps. The axles rotate in metal bearings to power a lighting.
Value for money much better than for SNCF productions.
Coach too low (about 0.5 mm).
See gamos81.altervista.org for the reference list of issued DB UIC-X coach models.
Broken statodyne shaft replaced with burnished brass rod. Axles isolated in the middle; wheels and axles painted (blended Humbrol grey No. 32 and rust No. 113).
The ABüm 223 coaches are ex BC4ümg 223 of 1955 (Bauart 1954), made in 357 units. They were outclassed when the 3rd class was abolished in 1956.
According to gamos81.altervista.org website which lists all (?) the production of DB UIC-X coach models, and knowing that the manufacturers can make mistakes in the numbering, the series ABüm 223 could be numbered 51 80 31-40 000-6 to 40 356.
