Tilting cab and tipper. Flaking cab paint.

Scale given in the catalogue: 1/86.

Modifications

  • Wiking wheels mounted and painted, rear paired. This required milling of the rear wheel arches.
  • Cab repainted with passage of tilting shaft planed down.

History

This is a model of the L series built from 1960 to 1966. This one is an L7004. These are perhaps the first tilt cabs. It’s an American truck; it’s very doubtful that some existed in Europe (except for the US contingent in Berlin) and a fortiori in France.
