Herpa 430722
Citroën GS 1971
Finely made model and almost perfectly to scale. Inserted parts: bumpers, grille, rear view mirror, steering wheel, exhaust, headlights. Painted tail lights.
However, there is one big mistake: the front wings protrude from the doors. This is particularly visible in the rear three-quarter view. This kind of incomprehensible mistake is not uncommon at Herpa. See for example the AMI 6 estate.
This car is easily disassembled by removing the bumpers (see photo). Beware: the headlights can easily escape!
The GS was manufactured from 1970 to 1981 (the GSA until 1986), in Rennes.
Specifications (1971 model): flat four (boxer) air-cooled engine, 1015 cm3, 41 kW (55 hp) DIN. Tyres 145x380. Top speed 150 km/h.
