65 + 25 g* (NEM: 48 à 62 g)
*Over-ballasting following derailments.
Three units (of which two brown end-of-series decorated by me). They lack 2 mm in width, three in length, but their overall appearance is correct (their design goes back more than fifty years!).
Note on the colour of the STEF lettering. See for example a film excerpt on the Vierzon depot. If the letters you see are not black…
The full movie (27:40) is visible on Youtube.
I bought Carmina decals for these wagons. They are unfortunately wrong: the registration characters are black, whereas they should be white. And the letters STEF are blue, whereas they should be black, as evidenced by many photos, like this one, or a film extract on the Vierzon depot, at 16:19. The blue was applied on newer wagons, like Iaehss. Even the LS Models wagons have “benefited” from this faulty blue! Note that I restored the white balance of J.-P. Lescat’s photo, which was very yellow. So, I added some blue. If the STEF logo was blue on the original, we would see it all the better here.
Standard refrigerant C and D for vegetables (.Is) 11 87 082 0 249-4 to 2 073-6, meat (.Ics) 11 87 082 4 009-8 to 4 394-4, and fish (.Ids) 11 87 083 7 008-5 to 7 057-2, built between 1948 and 1959. Ex HI 5xxx xxx.
The general dimensions are those of standard covered wagons of the same era.
