These wagons were manufactured by the Société nouvelle des ateliers de Vénissieux (SNAV) on behalf of EVS. They are called 4-type because it is the 4th type of this kind of wagon to have been designed by EVS. They were delivered from 1965 to 1969 approximately.
The Société d’étude et d’exploitation de wagons spécialisés (EVS) — Study and Exploitation of Specialized Wagons — was created in 1957. Initially, it designed covered wagons accessible by large opening panels (sliding or in the form of winding shutters), to facilitate the loading of pallets by forklifts.
SIMCA, Société industrielle de mécanique et carrosserie automobile — Industrial Mechanical and Bodywork Company — which became Chrysler France then Talbot, ended up absorbed into the PSA group (Peugeot-Citroën) and disappeared in 1985. On the panels of the wagons, the five-pointed star shows the Chrysler Group membership — the emblem of the independent SIMCA was a swallow.
Champigneulles is a brewery located in the village of the same name, near Nancy (East of France). Their slogan was The Queen of Beers.

These wagons are very fine, but still very expensive! If I had not benefited from an interesting discount (more than 20 %), I would never have bought them.
The transmission rods, made of plastic, tend to twist. The axles rotate in brass bearings, and the axle holders are movable (but I have already seen the practical uselessness of this device, see About rotating axle holders about the TA 60 LS Models).
A good little detail: the handbrake wheels are tapered, not flat as in most cases. A not-so-good little detail: not only the label holders are not inserted, but they are simply stamped. I find this petty on so expensive wagons. But LS Models knows what pettiness means.
The wheel back-to-back distance — 14.2 — does not comply with the new NEM standard — 14.5 ± 0.1.
