Cars called Mistral 69, built in two series by Carel et Fouché. First series (type 64-66) of eleven coaches delivered in 1968/1970 for the Paris - Marseille - Nice (Le Mistral) and Paris - Dortmund (Paris - Ruhr) routes. Two additional units (type 70) delivered in 1973/74 to reinforce the previous routes and for the Paris - Milan route (Le Cisalpin).
These coaches have a dining room with 39 seats, and, of course, a splendidly fitted kitchen (in Encyclopédie des voitures SNCF, p. 345).
Main characteristics: tare 47 t; speed limit 160 km/h. Bogies Y26 P.

Same comments as for the A8u and A8tu of the same production. Here perhaps more than for the other coaches, the one-piece moulded interior is not up to par with competing products.
A small additional defect here: the real coach doesn’t have built-in tail lights, as shown in the photo opposite.
