B4D OCEM RA coach Jouef

Brand - Reference

Jouef 5113

Type

B4D OCEM with apparent rivets (RA)

UIC number Revision date
50 87 82-40 765-6 3 9.1.74

Weight

77 g (NEM: 100 to 130 g); 110 g after ballasting.

Comments

New in 1975.

Purchased mostly for its correct Y2 bogies, except for brake blocks non-aligned on the wheels. The windows are not recessed. Length dimensions increased from 2 to 3.3 mm).

Broken roof line. Interior arrangements made by me (compartment walls).

Modifications

  • ⌀ 10.4 NEM axles
  • Ballast 33 g
  • Makette drawbars and Profi couplers. Indeed, I use this coach instead of a B4Dd modernized Sud-Est in some compositions, waiting for a hypothetical model of the latter.

History

Coaches studied by the OCEM in 1924 and built in 75 units from 1925 to 1931 by ANF and Bacalan. Numbered 51 87 82-47 588-1 to 51 87 82-47 662-7, which contradicts the number used by Jouef. They were spread over the Est, Ouest and Sud-Est regions.

Loco-Revue sheet No. 73 b 38 (former series).
