Comments

UIC number: 50 87 83-17 129-3.

As is often the case with Fleischmann (and sometimes even today), this coach is at the same time too short, too wide and too high!

The suspension system and the axle boxes don’t correspond to the French type. That’s why I removed the axle boxes for replacement with a French model.

Modifications

  • Profi couplings
  • Roco elongating drawbars
  • More conform suspensions from imprint made with thermal setting modelling clay, taken on the MMM/RG Nord Dd2 van. The parts themselves are in inclusion resin. This was done more than 40 years ago, and I just decided to put them in place…

History

These modernized, three-axle, second-class/van coaches come from the transformation in 1954 and 1961 of Sud-Est C4Dtm suburban coaches built in 1910/1926 (in Loco-Revue sheet).
