Norev 550009
Unic ZU100 1955
I only bought this model to benefit from free shipping on an order…
This is the “microminiature” out of the early 1960s, but moulded metal, and fortunately provided with new wheels. The engraving is very rough, especially the nose of the bonnet, the bumper and the top of the windscreen, which has nothing to do with reality. But the mould must be around 60 years old!
A priori, the cab is not that of an Izoard (and not Ysoard!), but that of a ZU100 or 120 of the years 1955. Moreover, it seems to me — although I am not a lorry specialist — that this type of extended cab is a sleeper cab for long-haul transport, so unnecessary for a construction site. Conversely, there should probably be two axles on the back. But at the time, Norev only produced one type of chassis/cab for all its lorries!
The Izoard is the Dinky Toys multi-tipper Marrel, semi car transport, or Saharan with a horizontal bar that separates the grille in two parts, and dual headlights. See the Brekina lorry.
Lorry appeared apparently in the mid-1950s.
