Hornby reference 6910.
Accessory recently offered by a friend. Two copies almost complete (they only lack the panels provided to hold the station name 1), with box in very good condition, and four others in more or less degraded condition.
The Hornby accessories (station, platforms, signal box) were of a decidedly modern architectural style, unlike Jouef, which had a much simpler style and therefore also less expensive to manufacture…
Nevertheless, the underground passage presents an incongruity, with its two stairs converging towards each other, making it impossible to go down below the ground level !
- The original owner had replaced them with luminaires made of bristol board, equipped with a Luciol bulb.
