The Opel Rekord D was manufactured from 1972 to 1977.
Main specification (1972 Caravan 1700S model): 1698 cm3 in-line 4-cylinder engine, 61 kW (82 hp) DIN. Top speed: 150 km/h. 6.40 S 13 tyres.

Body painted in metallic light green. Beige interior, black dashboard.
Bumpers, headlights, front lights, mirrors (one of which was found by chance at the bottom of the box) are inserted; rear lights are painted on metallic background. Wipers are moulded with the windscreen. The windscreen and rear window are flush, while the other windows are not.
Disassembly is easy by removing the bumpers (which are fool-proofed) and pulling out a pin from under the bonnet. Photo of the dismantled model.
The scale model is slightly oversized, and the wheels are too big.
