Kit model. Non-functional, other than the pivoting of the jig and the (manual) movement of the truck.
I replaced the gridded transparent plastic parts with burnished photo-etched brass imitation expanded metal.
After falling and breaking during the outside (and windy!) shooting, I reinforced some parts:
- the main jig is attached to the mast by bronze wire inserts;
- the pivot is realized with a TF M2×6 screw, whose head is hidden by a piece of grey decking.
NB: the new version (yellow) is ref. 10202.
History
According to Modellbahnshop-Lippe, this crane is of type 63 EC-H and is believed to be from the 1980s (period IVb), an assumption confirmed by the mention Printed in Fed. Rep. of Germany in the Liebherr document on this crane (see below).
Features: max. lifting height 41 m, max. outreach 42 m with lifting capacity 1.25 t, max. lifting capacity 5.6 t.
