Facel-Vega II
Universal Hobbies original metal model. No mirror. There are some mounting defects visible closely: the left headlight mounted askew, dribbling chrome surround, etc. There is also a defect (bump?) on the front wing. Inadmissible on a car of such a price (in real life)!
Weight (to be taken into account if car loading): 13 g.
The Facel-Vega Facel II (HK2 type), a French car, was manufactured from 1961 to 1964. It had a huge Chrysler engine with more than 6 litres of displacement!
Facel means Forges et Ateliers de Construction d’Eure-et-Loir. Vega was suggested by Pierre Daninos, well-known writer and incidentally brother of Jean Daninos, director of Facel.
Features (1961 model): V8 engine, 6277 cm³, 291 kW (395 hp) SAE. Tyres 6.70 × 15. Top speed 240 km/h.
