Herpa 023436
BMW 3 Series 1975
Unpainted, as is often the case with Herpa: it looks of poor quality.
Headlights and rear lights painted. Looks more massive than the original
(body belt too high, body bottom not painted black?). Tyres too wide.
The centre of the wheels should be painted black too. The black side
strip that we see on the Herpa website, and on the photo of the real
model, is not painted on the model delivered. The body area under the
bumpers should be body colour, so white. This is deception of Herpa on
the quality of the product! (but I will be answered “non contractual
photo”…)
The BMW 3 Series (E21) was manufactured from 1975 to 1983. The Herpa model is probably a 320 or a 323, since the lower models (316, 318) have single optics.
Features (1975 model): four-cylinder in-line engine, 1990 cm³, 80 kW (109 hp) DIN. Tyres 165 SR 13. Top speed 164 km/h.
