Alfa Romeo Spider 1969
Nice model. The headlights (or rather their fairing) and the tail lights are inserted. The front turn signals, the Alfa Romeo acronyms are painted very finely, as well as the surrounding windscreen. The black interior is enhanced by a varnished wood colour steering wheel. The mirrors are inserted.
At the base of the lighthouse fairings, there is
a curious outgrowth that seems to represent the attachment of these
fairings, as
in this picture (author: Mick from
Northamptonshire, England, on Wikimedia). But this representation is much
too big, and it would have been better not to put anything at all.
The respect of the scale is at least approximate: the model is too short and too low. The wheels are really too small.
The Alfa Romeo Spider second series (“coda tronca”) was produced from 1969 to 1983; first with a 1,300 cc (Junior) or 1,750 cc (Veloce) motor, from 1969 to 1972, then with a 1,600 cc (Junior) or 2 L (Veloce).
Features (model Veloce 1970): four-cylinder in-line engine, 1779 cc, 83 kW (113 hp) DIN. Tires 165 HR 14. Max. speed 190 km/h.
